Astrid made her career in technology transfer, where she gained extensive experience in identifying promising academic assets, translating them into viable business propositions, as well as establishing and running startups. She has worked for world-renowned institutions, such as the Institute of Science and Technology Austria and Oxford University Innovation, and supported the development and foundation of IST Austria’s investment fund IST Cube. Astrid was recently awarded Fund Manager 2019 in Austria. Her focus is intellectual property and business strategy.
Astrid holds a DPhil degree in Plant Sciences (Cell Biology) from the University of Oxford, and a Master’s degree in Microbiology / Genetics (Immunology) from the University of Vienna.
