Felix Faltin

Biography

Felix loves working where strategy meets execution. With degrees in PPE from Warwick University and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown, he began his career managing health care reform in his hometown, Vienna, before moving on to develop new service lines for a healthcare corporate across Europe and Asia.

Most recently, Felix advised the Austrian federal minister of infrastructure on innovation and economic policy. The role gave Felix a bird’s-eye view on technological frontier shifts and the tools to shape them, for example by crafting legislation to allow AV tests on public roads or spearheading the foundation of a €310M research center on semiconductor/sensor integration. He also worked passionately to pass a €185M initiative to support the national startup community.

“The best startups solve real problems, create good jobs and move us forward as a society. Helping them achieve that is one of the best reasons to get up in the morning.”

Felix joined this community at Speedinvest, where he focuses on finding and growing deep tech startups. As Head of Strategic Projects, he helps lay foundations for Speedinvest’s future growth. Felix looks back on 20 years of drumming with countless concerts and two record releases and looks forward to his next road trip through Italy.
